We are family of 6 and trying out icefloating for the first time . Nikita was a great guide and instructor. It was very convenient as he picked us up and returned us to our accommodation . Changing into the floating suit was easy with Nikita’s help . Floating in the suit was effortless and it was not cold . Scenery at the frozen lake was amazing too. Overall it was a experience of our lifetime!
So first, the guide, Robin, was cool and informative. He also helped us spot the animals which otherwise we would have easily missed.Unfortunately we didn't see many of the touted 50 spices at the park, including the big names, especially the Polar bear (Venus). We were told she might be depressed and doesn't venture out of her pen so much anymore since her husband/partner had died and her 3 offspring had been taken to other parks,We also didn't see any brown bears, grey wolves, lynxes or moose (the latter because our 4 year old was tired so we opted for an early lunch at the zoo). What we saw was beavers, a mink, wolverines, wild boar, voles and birds (several owls and a raven). The lunch was a buffet, warming Finnish food.Advice: Obviously it's more pricey with a guide but you need one to see the animals. We might have seen only half without Robin. Better without very young children too because there's a fair bit if waking in the cold.
A brilliant experience. I cannot say enough about how enjoyable this was. The sauna and lake swimming is an amazing experience. Two hours of a traditional wood sauna and dips in the lake followed by a great salmon dinner with Lapland sides and delicacies. My wife and I loved it.
Very good experience for the organization of Nordic Adventures ( guide +++) and for the park itself. If something can be improved, we would say that investing a bit more in the quality of the lunch is an option to be considered...
Tour guides were excellent. We all thoroughly enjoy our adventure. Highly recommend this company. Highlight of our trip.
The best thing we did on our trip including for our 5 year old. She actually said this was better then meeting Santa which was crazy! She did the ice lake jump, snow angels (in the swimwear) and loved the sauna. The evening meal was the best meal we had in Rovaniemi. Highly recommend… if your brave enough 😂
We were picked up by the lovely Alex and Pedro, we were guided all day and were able to skip long ques too. It was a fantastic day and would highly recomend them.
We went on 2 tours: "Rovaniemi sightseeing and Santa Village" and "Finnish Home and Sauna". Everything was very organised and perfect. Pedro was our guide on both and we could not have been happier. Pedro was very knowledgeable and friendly. We are a family of 4, childrens age being 18 and 20 and he was able to engage everyone. Also Alex was very helpful during the decision/booking process. Thank you both for such amazing experiences and memories
It was the best choice we could do! Spending some days in Rovaniemi to go to Santa's village we decided to try the original sauna and the ice swimming. And we did it! Me., my wife and our girl 10 yr old, we all togheter had a very nice sauna in their old Cottage and we did togheter jumps in the lake three times! Guys were very kind. The dinner after we finished was pretty good, we had a very good salmon!
Alex was a great guide and the visit was very well organised and very enjoyable, we had a great time without queuing.
